Great thoughts. And thanks for the comments.

I think that being a successful young leader includes surrounding yourself with older leaders who share the same and different gifts that you have. They can show you and guide you to be an effective leader who recognizes his strengths and weaknesses, without unnecessary delegation - which leads to failure, nevertheless.

Word. I'm with you on this one. My hesitation is that sometimes I perceive this message to be misinterpreted. Too often this argument can lead young leaders in their twenties who happen to be good at one or two things and not particularly passionate or proficient in many other parts of full-time jobs anywhere to just ignore or attempt to delegate aspects of their work that can't be ignored or done by anywhere else. There are many areas I'm not gifted at or even passionate about that I really need to get better at because they're a liability to overall potential. That being said--I'm not for amateurs pretending to be experts in areas that can be and should be done by those who know what they're doing.

Speaking of being good...this blog is the closest thing I've ever seen to the perfectly designed blog, at least according to what I value. You can see on mine I've tried to get close but this....this is how you do it. Nice work
